Physical therapists use their expertise in human movement and apply clinical reasoning through the process of examination, evaluation, diagnosis, and intervention to promote functional movement and motor development.
Physical therapy focuses on promoting a child's development in areas of: functional mobility, gross-motor strength, endurance, balance, stability, and coordination.
Physical therapy focuses on promoting a child's development in a multitude of areas through application of a variety of therapeutic and creative approaches. Physical therapists utilize individualized care plans and modalities to incorporate motivating elements of play to address a wide range of skills and abilities within a child's motor skill development.
Physical therapists work with children and their families to assist each child in reaching their maximum potential to promote independence, increase participation, facilitate motor development and function, improve strength and endurance, enhance learning opportunities, and assist in easing challenges with daily care-giving.
