What is Tele health Therapy?

Tele health services are services provided at a distance and conducted over an electronic device. Services are typically offered while the family is at home, but may also take place within the community or at other locations in which a child needs supports. This mode of service delivery may be carried out routinely, or to support access opportunities, either due to transportation, or family daily routine challenges. These services are navigated through therapist and family collaboration.

BOLD Pediatric Therapy Center has a philosophy that we join the family’s team in the therapeutic care for their child. We believe that no one knows that child better than the parent/caregiver. BOLD families are an active participant in the clinical process. During therapy sessions, clinicians actively coach, train, and educate families to feel more resourceful in the care of their child. Clinicians have been able to seamlessly transition families to support access via either an in clinic model or a tele health therapy model.

We use evidence-based therapy techniques to tailor our approach to your individual needs and goals, so that you can achieve the best possible outcomes. With our Tele health service, you can access our expertise without the need for travel or disruption to your daily routine. Our secure online platform ensures that your sessions are private and confidential, and our friendly and professional team are always on hand to support you every step of the way.

BOLD Center Approach

We believe in making therapy functional and personally relevant to you and your child to promote success outside of the session. This is done through providing parent coaching, integrating therapy into daily routines and activities of daily living, and taking advantage of home, clinic, and community settings.

The occupation of a child is PLAY! Therapy supports overall development and progression of skills by identifying activities that are motivating and engaging. As children learn and grow, they do this through interacting with a variety of tools, objects, and within a variety of environments or settings. This allows them to build foundational skills to support their continued development across the lifespan. If there are challenge areas which are negatively impacting their development, this can slow or stunt their progress in a variety of areas.

At BOLD center we promote development through therapeutic interventions of play, the use of fun varied equipment and exercise and movement routines, which may include music, technology devices, sports or exercise equipment and many other creative modalities.
